ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS
Australian dermatologists undertake intense training and rigorous examinations in anatomy to achieve the best results for your anti-wrinkle injection.
Anti-wrinkle injections are performed personally by Dr Millar and our injectable nurse, Kellie.
These injections target the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and sagging skin of lower face caused by repeated muscle contraction from frowning, squinting and aging over the years.
Results are seen within 24-48 hours and results last up to 4-7 months.
FILLERS
Hyaluronic acid fillers and skin boosters are used to improve deep lines volume and hydration of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar in the skin which absorbs water like a sponge to help volume and smoothness of the skin.
Our injectable nurse, Kellie has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the subtleties needed to produce a younger but natural look whilst avoiding over-treatment.
Return to work after a filler injection, can be the same day with minimal down time.
ACNE SCARRING
Scarring from acne is psychologically distressing. Even the mildest form of acne can lead to pits and defects in the top layer of the skin.
These scars are often bright red and difficult to camouflage.
Acne scars can be treated at any age. The mainstay of treatment is laser resurfacing. This is a safe procedure with 5-7 days downtime.
For acne resurfacing there is a Medicare rebate available.
Dr Millar uses both the Erbium laser, the Emerge diode laser, and the BBL to improve acne scars.
BBL (broadband light)
I.P.L (also known as B.B.L) is not strictly a laser but is broadband light that gently absorbs brown pigment and the red pigment in blood vessels.
BBL treatments have rapid recovery, minor discomfort and improve skin laxity and collagen production.
Dr Millar uses a medical grade BBL which treats brown spots, mottled pigmentation, fine blood vessels and redness as well as improving smoothness and texture of the skin.
Hands, neck and arms are commonly treated for brown spots with good success.
ERBIUM LASER
Erbium laser is a resurfacing laser (2940nm wavelength) which evaporates very fine outer layer of skin, allowing new undamaged cells to form in a healthy process over 3-4 days.
Erbium laser is used to remove large brown age marks, warty keratoses, wrinkles (particularly the upper lip and under the eyes), lumps on the face and nose (rosacea) and severe acne scarring.
This laser gently heats the collagen when removing the top layers of skin thus causing tightening of underlying tissue.
